Meeting notes

What to write?

  • ask yourself the question who is the audience?
  • define, who, what, and when?
  • think about what is the shared need

How to write

  • for each section, include impact to team member, use red color
  • engage experts in writing the notes when you are not expert
  • avoid chronology

Other advices

  1. Use collaborative tools.

  2. Offer Easter Egg to combat tl;dr syndrome (i.e. chocolate for everybody who has read the note)

  3. At the meeting, spend first 10 minutes to read document, then discuss; no presentation

  4. Is your meeting a monologue (presentation) or a conversation?
